UW Nutrition and Obesity Research Center services
The UW Nutrition and Obesity Research Center (NORC) facilitates nutrition and obesity-related research in the UW community. The team, led by Drs. Michael Schwartz and Ellen Schur, is currently putting a renewal application and is requesting your assistance in ascertaining the true extent of the research base at UW. In addition, your input will influence the research services a new NORC will provide.

The health consequences of obesity and poor nutrition are far-reaching, and hence important research relevant to nutrition and obesity emerges from surprisingly diverse disciplines at UW. NORC serves the local research base, which is defined by NIH as all nutrition and obesity-related active and pending grants at our institution. Both NIH and non-NIH funding counts.
