Dr. Laura Crisa, MD, PhD, has received a grant from the JDRF for her project entittled “IGF2 gene imprinting as a biomarker of pancreatic islet growth and regeneration. IGF2 gene imprinting as a biomarker of pancreatic islet growth and regeneration”. This one year grant investigates the regulation of IGF2 imprinting and its role in islet cell growth and regeneration in animal models and in Type 1 diabetic subjects.
