Christiane Hampe, PhD, has been awarded a Royalty Research Fund grant for her project entitled “Pilot Study of Synbiotics in Pre-diabetic Adolescents.” This project seeks to resolve obesity-induced intestinal dysbiosis through synbiotic therapy (combined pre- and probiotics) and ultimately prevent development of T2D in obese adolescents with pre-diabetes.
