UWMDI investigator Tomas Vaisar,PhD, receives NIH NHLBI R01 award

Dr. Tomas Vaisar, PhD, has received a 4-year R01 from the NIH National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute for his project “HDL composition/function and cardiovascular risk in youths with diabetes.” UWMDI researcher Dr. Francis Kim is a co-investigator. This large multi-site research project includes co-investigators at Seattle Children’s Research Institute (SCRI), Wake Forest University Health Sciences, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital medical Center.
